a month agoI am new to the area and was looking for the closest restaurant I could find to grab a quick bite for lunch. I love mexican food and this was by far the closest spot and it got very good reviews from what I could see and they have birria which I am always game for. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center that includes a gas station, a barber, and a convienience store. The center is structurally unappealing as it seems unfinished or in need of major repair on every business within the center. Jorgez is the establishment located on the far left of the plaza. I went around noon and it was pretty busy! They have breakfast through dinner items, including some classic American fare so something for everyone I'd say. The staff was very courteous and enthusiastic and my order came out in very quick which is ideal for a lunch time run. The birria was tasty and the consume Divine, but it was extremely messy! It was difficult to handle the quesobirria tacos as they were incredibly greasy and the tortillas did not stay together as well as I had hoped. I prefer a little bit of crispness to this type of taco and they were not that and falling apart in my hands. The beans and rice were good but the beans were a little cold. Now my main turn off to this spot was the atmosphere or perceived cleanliness of the establishment. The restaurant looked to be in need of a good scrub overall as the place had a bit of a film to it. The smell of the grease trap had me ready to cancel my order but that could have not been there fault but should be resolved ASAP. Personally, I don't know that I will go here again, but like I said, it is popular and has a lot of good reviews, I hear great things about the breakfast on Google maps.

2 months agoFood so good!!!! My family and I ordered and dined in, service was great. Friendly nice owner and employees. I ordered the quesadilla plate, my boyfriend had the pastor tacos and our toddler had the chicken nuggets and fries. Let me just say money well spent!!!! I look forward to coming back to the place for sure. If you don’t get anything else get some French fries and the horchata to drink!!!! Food devoured!!!!!👿

3 months agoSat outside for 30 minutes waiting for them to open at 8! Two guys were in there as I walked to the door twice one of the guys waiting till i beat on the door THE SECOND TIME to come to tell me they open at 9:30 am instead of 8 am If yall looking for good tacos go to Pennys Food & Fuel instead inside 😊

4 months agoGet this place every week and it's always been top notch service. The steak anc cheese quesadillas are amazing. Guys are friendly and very fast, food is fresh and cooked to order. Definitely recommend for some affordable very tasty good
